As a TV tribute, some of the first episodes of the show were on TV last night. I turned the TV on as the very first episode was being played. I think this is the only episode I can remember that mentioned the Professor's name or called him anything other than simply "Professor". They were all sitting around listening to the radio when their names were read in an announcement about the Minnow going missing in a storm. His actual name in the show was Dr. Roy Hinkley.

Sad. One of my favourite characters, as a kid. We also lost Dave Madden, (Ruben from the Partridge Family) today. As well as one of the last of the Munchkins from the Wizard of Oz. Not a good day for Hollywood.

Read an article today about the lady who played the munchkin, there is now only one out of 124 living.

I always watched it as a kid growing up. Now that I'm older I wonder why he could anything out of some wire and coconuts but couldn't patch a hole in the Minnow :dunno:

    RIP Professor.

Mary Ann is 75 now. I saw a recent interview and she still looks good for her age. Ginger on the other hand has not aged well. But then again she is 79.
