Good read! I don't think it can get done in America currently, but have been wrong before. We have to stand up for our rights, vote, petition, write our congressman, if we don't our rights will slowly fade.

I can see this happening. Slowly but with a certainty there are "we the people" ready to surrender our constitutional rights for a false sense of security. It has already gotten a foothold with the so called Homeland security Act. That one was easy. The second amendment will be the key nut to crack and is now under a serious attack. Once that is gone the rest will be easy. I am old and may not live long enough to see the total collapse but beware of power hungry people. The Germans where easy to dupe due to national strife and fear. Evil comes in m any disguises. When some one is offering a token of peace in one hand look for where the other is.

Not that wrong. It it ever does happen, it certainly wont be in our lifetimes, and society would have to change a great deal.

Good read and i totally agree. They will not come house to house in a fashion where you would be prepared to defend your rights, they will do it on a legal basis. Most of us have to many things that we care about like our careers, family and so on not to abide by the law. They have all of us right were they want us.

Wow, then you guys should just sell everything now while you the prices are through the roof and avoid all these legal hassles and privacy infringements that are surely coming. Take that money and find a hobby that they won't come after.

I didn't bother reading every paragraph of the drivel, mainly because the govt. can't find all of the illegal cocaine, heroin, immigrants, prostitutes, pot , etc.
So how are they going to find all of the guns.
Can you imagine the work force they would have to hire to knock on every door of every person who ever filled out a 4473.

While I don't believe everything happening as written I would like to add an additional argument to the IRS angle.
If you say you sold the gun already then the IRS will being asking: To who? When and also "did you report the income on your taxes?"
Now they would have another angle to go after you. Think of the pentalties they can add because you did not pay your taxes on a item.

To the OP and all of the other people thinking inside the box still. First, these are all illegal laws. Do you think you actually need a drivers license to drive a car? If you think that you do then please sell all of your stuff now for you are lost.

If the answer was no then start thinking outside the box. They are few & we are many. They choose which and what laws they want to follow currently although they wrote all of them. See an issue yet?

There is an old saying that we should meet them at our neighbors house before they get to our own. Think about what that means and what you can do for your neighbor. In most cases in history they did not send in the swat team to confiscate people and items. Usually what they sent were two to three idiots minimally armed. Yet everyone was in fear of a law that was not legal and what the BS consequences would be for following said law. If you stand up to a bully they will fold, this is no different.

Do I think that they will pass any of this stuff you talk about? No, I do not. However, I did not think that guy would still be in office or that he would have passed the odramacare legislation either.

A move like that could make our country look alot like Syria looks today. One thing I have learned is never say never.

NY Governor Cuomo is using the word "confiscate". Google it, its all over the net. Also, years ago Feinstein said if she could she would have us all turn them in. Look at what happened in Germany in the 1930's. Are we as a nation smarter than those Germans in that time period?

as a nation? no. the anti-tinfoil hat crowd always dismiss historical cases as 'that will never happen here'

i heard a good one the other day "if i told you on 9/10/01, that three aircraft would be used as weapons, would you believe it?"
