It's not a bad area and just goes to show that crime happens even in the good parts of town.

UPDATE: Just talked to SnS. Jackwad got away with what was in the register @ RnR's workplace. Nobody harmed, just shaken up. Poor people...

That's even scarier to me. I know I worry when my daughter works the later shifts at work. Last night was her first overnight shift. I never even realized the gas station where she works was open 24 hours.

Gas stations are huge targets... I'd never work at one - especially not overnight.

I don't know why - maybe the convenience factor.

She is fine. They shut the restaurant down early & sent employees home. SnS said she is home now.

She's a tiny petite thing so she'd be an easy target. I know the city and county police stop in a lot and hang out when they are between calls and such so that makes me feel somewhat better and many have given her their cell numbers in case she ever needs to contact them ASAP. It's a small town, but things can still happen.
