Google it and you find all sorts of crazy pictures of them. I believe it is also referred to as Mother. I'm still learning this fermentation stuff so I may be confused on that one, but I am pretty sure that is correct.

Well, son lives with us until his girl moves here from Pennsylvania and the daughter lives next door. They both love our 2 refrigerators and stocked pantry.
