Looong time ago I worked with a guy that had connections to KY Moonshine. That stuff was so clear, and so pure that it had almost no taste. Used it as a mixer and a quart mason jar would last a long time.

Used to have some connection in the south. Same quality but we put a peach in the jar for the ladies.

Look at the coolant level. Car will run OK and temp gauge will be normal but no heat. Just low enough to keep flow out of the heater core. Just a suggestion. My Navigator and Van will do this if they loose coolant.

Alrready thought of that. Coolant level is fine. Supposed to be back in the 30 by Saturday, thought I would swap out the thermostat then. It's a cheap fix, worth trying.

The Heat gauge on the dash is only warming to about the 3/8 mark. Usually it sets at 1/2 or slightly higher. I know it's cold today, but I had it running for a half hour.

It sounds like the thermostat is a good place to start. If it as the heater core, that shouldn't affect the heat gauge that way...just doesn't put any heat out like it should.

Back from eating too much dinner and visiting.

    Hi Mom, Good supper?

My husband was sure that he was going to be eating ham and beans for WEEKS! LOL! I made a huge crock pot full and had just enough left to put one container in the freezer, a small container to take to the neighbor tomorrow and one bowl in the fridge for leftovers. I also made a big pot of turkey soup since I knew one of the people coming does not eat ham and beans...put a couple of containers of that in the freezer and filled one of that for the neighbor too. Made sourdough bread and corn muffins to go with it and yep...got some of that ready to take to the neighbor as well. I am taking her to a doctor's appointment tomorrow so she'll be worn out by the time we get back home. Soup should warm her up a bit.

They were all glad to hear that there was no dessert tonight! HAH!! Nobody had room for it!
