My truck doesn't have it (which I am thankful for) but my car does and it throws me off every time the traction control kicks in...I know how to drive, I don't want my car to think for me.
I can turn it off selectively but I wonder if the dealer can have it off by default [so it can be turned on if desired, but off by default].................

I don't even know what traction control is!!! I'm with you though...I refuse to even use cruise control cause I feel like it takes away part of that control factor. I had mine get stuck on one time years ago...would not turn off no matter what I tried. Never used it again after that.

Oh hell no. Gotta have the cruise control! The only 2 requirements I have ever had for a vehicle, cruise and power windows. LOL I've had mine engage at stop sign before. Did a nice little burn out.

I had cruise that was vacuum controlled once - you could still put your foot under the pedal and pull it up if you had to. On the truck and envoy and my car it's all electric - pedal doesn't move when cruise is on.

Now those I didn't care for. Probably because I bought old beat up cars with all kind of vacuum issues.

Was a factory turbocharged car... Let's just say it had not only vacuum lines but also check valves and vents...

    That was.... fun.

I ended up looking at the factory vacuum diagram, figuring out how it worked [i.e. where was vac only, where was vac or press, and where was pressure only] and then I simplified the system down to about 1/4 of what it was while maintaining 100% of it's functionality...

Had to re-do it because I wasn't able to track down the issues with the stock tubes.

Just set up my new phone. My old one was an LG I got in 2006. Wonder if this smartphone will last that long???

My 15 yr old daughter was embarrassed by my ancient cell phone.:):

Why is it that new cell phones have every imaginable ringtone, except for a ring and a beep beep???? I just want a freaking telephone ring for calls and a beep for texts.

Zedge, d/l in the app store. it is free and you can find old fashion ringtones and just beeps in there.
