I'm slowly working my way through removing the console and the covers from under the dash. I need to be Gumby to do this job.

My goal is to get this heater core removed tonight. I've already checked the local parts stores. They say they have it in stock and its not expensive. I'd just rather have the bad part in my hands to match it up. If I can get the thing out of the car tonight, I should be able to recover enough by morning to finish the job.
