    Leadeye, I was looking on GB last night at old guns. There is not a lot of availability of 32-20. What's a good caliber to get that I can buy ammo for?

    Looking for a lever gun?

    30-30 is the most common and you can find a real Winchester 1894 in that caliber pretty easy on GB.

    So many of the 1894 30-30's were modern ones. I need to study more.

    Unless you want a short barrel, I know how you like SBRs, get the standard length 24 " barrel, octagon preferably, made after 1900 but before 1940. Ask about the bore condition if they don't spell it out in the description. Old tang mounted peep sights are a bonus

    I found several nice 1873's, but when I searched for ammo, it was original in brass tins. Not a lot of availability.

    boys took the boat our fishing over the weekend. They had a mouse run across the deck and the hubby caught the biggest fish. a 220# 13 y/o boy. He took it to the shoulder.
