    In 81 I was approached by a fellow dealer wanting to get a group buy on new RIA M-60s, $850 instead of the usual $1K if we bought 5. Had just bought my first house and had son number one on the way so I was tapped out and passed.:ugh:

    They didn't stack up well against the Brownings or the MG-42 in my opinion. Really heavy and barrel change while easy left something to be desired from prone.
    I carried one for several years. I can fondle it with my eyes closed.

    Longer, thinner, lighter with three times the rate of fire and really quick barrel change.
    They definitely slowed the m60 down. You could shoot it from a sling without issue. Weight sucks when your humping it, but it helps when your shooting it. It's a handful when it's not on a tripod, but manageable.
