There only 60k a piece now.

No kidding. That would have been a good investment.

They didn't stack up well against the Brownings or the MG-42 in my opinion. Really heavy and barrel change while easy left something to be desired from prone.

I've never had the opportunity to try one out. The M60 has a lot off the MG42 in it though.

I was in pretty good shape back then. Meaner, dumber, and my hair was a little darker.

They definitely slowed the m60 down. You could shoot it from a sling without issue. Weight sucks when your humping it, but it helps when your shooting it. It's a handful when it's not on a tripod, but manageable.
