In spite of the sight issues I have had with the new rifle, I will say that I am very happy with it. It shoots great and is very lightweight. Might have still cost more than it should but it will get some use.

Planning on buying a decent cordless drill/driver next paycheck. Opinions?

I've had a Black and Decker 18V for about 10 years now. Haven't had any problems with it. This is the basic unit without frills. Black & Decker GC1801 18-Volt NiCad Drill/Driver - Walmart.com or for a few bucks more you can get a bag and/or more accessories. This is a good deal because the batteries are hella expensive if you buy them separately. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Black-Dec...et000&beacon_version=1.0.1&findingMethod=p13n

:coffee: Morning lurk. I have to leave in a few minutes to go see the neighbor. Leaving later today because she had book club this morning. She called and told me to come over later today as she had plans. I love it! She went to a play yesterday with some of the other residents at the apartments. It is nice to see her socializing.

I had plans to get all sorts of stuff done this morning before I left but none of them seem to have happened. I have been drinking coffee though and I did some Amazon and Ebay shopping. I guess that was something.

the Milwaukee M18 drill&impact driver set comes with 2 batteries, charger and bag - I picked mine up for under $200 at HomeDepot - I have dewalts, portercables, ridgid and the M18 is a far better product

Move had a porter cable set for a few years from lowes that has worked fine for me. It was a cheap set but it has done everything I needed it to. I am not a contractor so it doesn't see daily use.

I hadn't considered a driver until he mentioned it. Definitely seems like a more efficient use of power than relying on sheer torque from the drill to drive screws.
