    the rpd is an actual belt fed gun . Usualy it would be a machine gun, but DSA makes them semi auto out of parts kits. The drum is hollow it just hooks on and holds a 100 round belt of ammo. You could not use the drum and just feed the belt in like in the movies if you wanted.
    the rpk takes standard ak mags and drums. It's not a belt fed

    That makes for one expensive mag though, you have any idea of the cost of 100 rds at the current price?
