Having some serious pain issues right now.
I have lockjaw and the pain I get from this comes out in my ear, feels like the eardrum is exploding. I have had this pain all day. Aleve will take this away, however due to some medical issues I am off the Aleve for at least the next 3 weeks.
Tylenol doesn't even make a dent in the pain.
Anyone have any other suggestions? It has to be a non-aspirin/blood thinning pain med. HELP!!

    I ate way too much.

This was my portion, it's about half way gone now...I'll finish it up later.

It doesn't look like all that much, but that's one of those big salad bowls...The king crab legs are about 16 or so inches long.

I have some left over dilaudid... :dunno:

    :):

Sorry, the only thing that ever works for me is Aleve. I can't take aspirin either. It's either Tylenol, aspirin, or an insaid like Aleve available out there. The only other option isn't legal. Sorry I can't help further.

    Do you have TMJ?

I can't tell you want to do about the pain, but if you have TMJ, you need to get a mouth piece ASAP. Don't go to sleep again without one.

Any of those $1.00 football mouthpieces you boil and fit yourself will work.

TMJ, yes. sleep with mouth guard every night. I spend the big bucks too for one specifically for this.
It is a stress issue and I have been under a lot of stress lately.
Like I said the aleve usually takes care of it. Can't take it though. Next step is anti-anxiety meds. Don't really want to go that route.

If you go to the ER I'd bet money they'd give you something for it and possibly find the cause. If you can stand it, see if you can go see an ENT specialist (Ears, nose, throat) in the next couple days. Explain the situation and I bet they get you in Monday or Tuesday. If you can't wait, go to the ER. It could be something serious.

    What's TMJ?

    What's TMJ?

TMJ is an umbrella term covering acute or chronic inflammation of the temporomandibular joint, which connects the mandible to the skull.

Basically I have lost the cushion in the joint on my jaw
I have to laugh about the ENT because he is the one who took me off the aleve for at least 4 weeks. Due to have my tonsils out Friday this week, :dunno:

I know you said you tried Tylenol, but have you tried Tylenol PM? I have a major resistance to most OTC drugs and this stuff has helped me with back pain. Maybe it could help you with TMJ? Hope you find some relief.
