Very nice on the mileage! Like I said the early ones are the ones I'd consider only cause of how tough they are. I'll just have to see what I can find in my price range when I get the money. Its getting hard to find a old mechanical injection or carbureated 4x4 that isn't either a total rustbucket, or basket case for cheap anymore.

So what year is yours? And where would be a good place to look for them?

Mine is a 91' the first year of the FJ80 series. Not the best! The "Grail" is a 93' or 94', they have a better motor and optional front and rear lockers!:rockwoot:
Best place? I know where you might find a few, but people know what they are there. They want more for them then! Try ih8mud.

You need to find a '78 or '79 3/4 ton ford. Front axle is worth at least a grand.

Yeah those are the years I want the most. I found a 77 locally with a 400 V8, 4 spd manual, 4x4. Runs good, good 33's, and decent interior, but bed is rusted to all hell. He wants $1500. Its been sitting there for sale for a year or two now. So I doubt its going anywhere. If its still there when I get the money together I may go for it. I need to get my SHO sold to help fund it.

They can get around 16, I've got as good as 18 or 19 when we drove to Utah. Ours has a bad o2 sensor or somthing now, I'm only getting 10! Ouch!

I really didn't want it at first! I quickly fell in love with it though! It's hard to see quality at first glance, but once you start looking it's obvious.

18 or 19? Wow... so it can't be a daily driver for me then. :noway:

    hmmm.... Maybe someday.

Serious question. Do you guys accept friend requests from anyone. I started out keeping it to just the people that I considered friends, but I have started accepting others that I don't even feel I know.
