I think giving the boys cookies was a mistake. They're bouncing off the walls. Hopefully the sugar crash comes soon. We put off giving them their melatonin gummies until 8 last night and I think we've found the sweet spot. They gave me an extra hour or so of peace this morning.

Kitchen has been full tilt all day so far.
Cookies and festive chocolate covered pretzels are done.
I just put a 9# spiral ham in the oven.
Tomorrow will be very busy as well.
I hope you all are on schedule for the festivities.

I'm going to make blueberry pancakes (tip of the hat to Expat) Christmas morning and a pork loin roast for lunch. That's about it as far as special things go for the menu.

Actually maybe I'll make some boneless chops out of the pork loin and bbq them. Good idea!

We love the snow. Would love to be snowed in for a few days.

I need to contact Dirtebiker. He helped me with snow removal from my driveway last winter when we had a particularly heavy wet snow and I just couldn't manage the driveway (I think that's when I had Covid but didn't know it).

I think I might be able to handle it now though. Or I could put the boys to work... Making snowmen and snow forts in the yard from the snow in the driveway.

We do breakfast , so B&G , egg casserole , probably pancakes for the g-kids ?

Have to build a fire in the fire place , it’s about the only time of year I use it .
G-kids like to make s’mores in the afternoon . Lol
