Galco and Blackhawk have been making similar ones for quite a while. The old Natick belt that Blackhawk sold looked pretty much the same, and was rated as a climbing harness as well. Pretty cool belts. I have an old Blackhawk one I don't wear anymore and the reinforced one from Galco.
