Good morning to all of the CZ psyko faith! Had a great range trip with PI & BA yesterday after work. PI is a great guy and can shoot a CZ with accuracy :rockwoot:BA and I were a little concerned when he mentioned that he sometimes carries a ***** **. This will change!!!!!!

While what David says is true I do believe we will see a nice improvement with these discos. If I understood your previous post correctly you put the new disco in an otherwise stock gun? If so, that might have something to do with it. As I understand it these we modified to work in conjunction with the race hammer, etc. Not sure what exactly the outcome it would be if it were a stand alone addition. Anyway, I have learned over the years to have complete faith in David. He has never let us down even when some of his parts turned out to be a tad out of spec. He has always made good. I foresee extensive consultation between David and the Wizard over the next few weeks that will end up with us all seeing some very satisfying results. It's just happened too many times before to believe otherwise. ;)

I hope that last post didn't sound like I was disparaging David or CGW. It sure was not meant to. I was just passing along what David had sent along about the disconnectors. The gun that I was trying it out on was a compact in .40 that has the SRS-1, RP trigger spring, 13.5# hammer spring and a complete polish job internally. I laid out a bunch of disconnectors from the spares box and find it interesting how the design and quality has changed over the years. There are a lot of CZ disconnectors that are really roughly finished but the current ones seem to be quite well done. CZ has definitely stepped up it's game in their ability to produce quality small parts.

Here are some of the disconnectors from early to late style:

These are the two I was working with last night:

I think I have almost reached a stopping point. I have the size of the family down to a manageable level where everything can get shot on a fairly regular basis. I either have the parts in hand or on order for the lion's share of the upgrades I want to do. I have the hosters, carrying cases, range equipment, etc. that I need. I just ordered 10 more magazines to replenish from recent losses. Although I could use some more ammo I am not anywhere near crisis levels. Now to just be patient and wait for the modifications/upgrades to be completed. I have decided not to sell anything, at least for now. I have no plans to buy anything. I can't really think of anything I want. So, I guess this is good to go.

What's this 'plan' thing I keep hearing you guys talk about? Is that a new type of CZ? I've never heard of that type of CZ before, but I think I want one now for some reason. Does it come in .40?

This is where I am finding myself. If I do get to add the next custom 1911 to the safe I will be at peace (at least until I see another one) with what is in there.
Nothing as built box stock. Many customs.
A long time friend is pressing me for the 1st race gun. If I part with it there will be another project to be done in building itse replacement.
Beyond that I am sitting back and running the current offerings. And run they do.

Lets go shoot some of them.

It has remained fairly static for a while. I've reduced some clutter. I am now focused on getting all of them up to the same standard. When that's done I feel like I will have really accomplished something. :dunno:

    Yes you have.
You have done a great job on your pieces and have infected a large group of grown men with the CZickness.......:koolaid:

My CZ's are great pieces and I love them.
My customs are a completely different level of endeavor.

Your customs are way beyond anything I could even imagine. That is apples and oranges from my little family. ;)
