Well I just wasted one and half hours on trying to remove the rear sight on a CZ PCR. I even runied a punch with a platic tip and a brass tip. I took the set screw out and pounded that SOB for all I was worth didn't budge a bit. I used a Wheeler bench block and when that failed I put the slide in a vice. Still that rear sight would not move at all. I give up. I will try again another day when I am not so frustrated.

Try soaking it in a penetrating oil like PB blaster, worked for me on old my ruger CMD. I've also heard of people putting the slide in a freezer.

Heat would also help if it was installed with Loktite. If you want to get really technical, you can heat the slide in a toaster oven, then hold some dry ice to the sight to help. That's a lot of overkill for a sight though. Large, interference fit jet engine mounts maybe, but doing a rear sight that way would just be an excuse to buy and play with dry ice.
