Swapped my stock panels and base pad for Vytal palmswell Krakens in Color Case color this weekend on my P-01. Looks and feels pretty good IMO. I need to get it to the range to see how it feels. I’m not sure I wouldn’t prefer a thinner grip.

Next up, acquire a CGW pro kit and off to The Wizard!

If you get a pro kit, make sure to have them double check the trigger they send you. They had a batch that were .015 inches too long and a couple snuck their way into the pro kits.

Looks good. I still haven’t ordered any from him. I hate waiting so the lead time always turns me away. Have had them in my cart many times but haven’t finished the transaction. Part of it was thin vs palm swell. Hearing your opinion will have me looking more at the thin ones I think. I do have some things he’s anodized and it is second to none. There is a new design that he just dropped as well that looks interesting.

I was in the same boat but decided to jump on their last sale. Ordered on 8/30 and received 9/27.

Do any of you have Lok standard (non-palmswell) or thin Bogies on your pistols? How do you like them? Thinking of giving them a try as well.

Honestly the stock rubber panels are pretty nice. I like the “ledge” at the top of the panel to help my grip. I’m just experimenting to see what I like best.

I have a bunch of grips laying around. I’m just up in shelbyville. You’re more than welcome to try them out. I’ll send a pic of them all shortly.

    In the country, hopefully.
I seem to find it ok. It’s more just fighting 25 years or so of habit acquiring irons I think. I am using a 6moa so for it pretty large. Just still feels kind of odd.
Totally normal, especially if you were proficient with irons.
Presentation is everything. I'm not sure presentation is really something that is taught with irons, but once you have presentation down you may even do better with irons.
Target focus is really something to get used to, ignoring the whole slide in your vision.
Not a pro by any means, just my opinion.

I'd love to fool around customizing the grips on my CZ's but I like the factory rubber too much.
For reference, I love the palmswell grips on my P320's, and had a CZ that Firehawk has now iirc that had thin grips on it that I could not use very well.
So that CZ rubber must be just right for many.

I agree that the factory rubber grips on the compact for sure have the right amount of palms well well at least for me better than any aftermarket Palms swells that I have tried on the size. I prefer the grips to be flat on full size for sure

I agree about the stock rubber grips. I really like them too. I’m just curious because you see so many posts about swapping to Lok or Vytal that claim a “night and day” difference.

I definitely wouldn’t say I like my new Vytals better or worse thus far. They are simply different.

Nicer to look at though! ;)

I feel the same way most people like to justify the cost of things by saying they love it. Most of the ones I’ve picked up I can do pretty much the same. I just wanted to go for different visuals. The only ones I do not like are my most expensive ones super aggressive aluminum from CZ customs they about kill me.
