Just got back from a great time at the range. Stepson enjoyed shooting the 1911's the best (of course), but he also enjoyed the P-01 and 75B. Didn't care for the 40P... :):

The 40P needs to be shot first when shooting it with 1911s. If you shoot either a 9mm or a 1911 first, the 40P feels snappy. Shoot it first and you don't notice that. I think the lanes at PointBlank make it feel a bit more snappy due to the concussion being reflected back more than happens with the softer shooters. Shooting the 40P on an open air range is more fun that standing in a phone booth sized lane with that blaster.

Glad to hear the range trip went well. How busy was it? I may try to head out that way shortly myself.

 I really wanted to go today, but it'll have to wait. Shooting alone isn't as fun, more fun shooting with people you like, now I'll just have to find someone.....

I had some time at the range with the 97B and it ranks right behind my 1911 for my guns that I enjoy shooting the most. I am hoping the trigger is very much like my other CZs and gets better over time, but if I were able, I would head to Indiana for the upgrades.

I guess I should have checked before I placed the order, but the 97B fits perfectly in the holster for my SP-01. Oh well, there's nothing wrong with having an extra holster around.

I have not seen the new one personally as yet but I have seen the pics.
I should get my 97 back today.

I don't notice how snappy it is, unless I'm shooting 165gr. That's pretty stout. The range was packed.

Good evening folks. What's everyone up to? I've spent the day hanging out with the family, mainly being entertained by the daughter, she is such the ham. Now I'm perusing the internet researching stuff for my new rifle. I think mainly I'm gonna order a Bassett scope mount for my 1-6 Vortex Strike Eagle and then get a few mags. Sounds like Rusty and I are hitting the range on New Years Day to break in the new year the right way.

I'm assembling a tiny metal Sherman tank. Somebody thought I needed another hobby... I don't see me continuing it after the Sherman, Tiger and T-34 are assembled, but it is interesting.. Thing is testing my eye sight, fat fingers and patience. Looking forward to our range trip Friday.

How tiny are they? I used to love building models years ago and swore I'd start the hobby again in retirement. Eyesight and shaky fingers may alter that plan, but hopefully not.

About 3.5". Very tiny components being worked with. Have little tabs that must be slid into slots and bent over to hold it together. This picture is of the Tiger before, I'll post the Sherman when I get done with it, I'm about half way there.

Heres the link to the products: https://www.fascinations.com/metalearth

Not something I would normally tackle, but since they were a gift from a buddy. It's definitely testing me. I've normally got very good vision, but I've been sensing it getting worse the last year or so.

This is "Q"s new hand made Kydex rig for his 97.
That is my 97 being used as a template.
This man does some seriously quality work.

Those do look good. Kydex is one thing I have not messed with. I did get into leather work earlier this year. Made one holster which I think turned out pretty good. Was trimming up and reshaping a factory built holster today to fit me better. Need to mess with leather more.
