Hello all,
Mom and the girls were having a "girl" day today,
getting makeup, getting their nails did or whatever.
So me and the youngest boy had a guy day today.
We went up to the range at Winimac.
It's kind of a haul but it was a nice day and a good one to take a drive.
I took some pictures to share of Reece shooting his Crickett rifle that he won in a giveaway put on by Mgderf right here on INGO!
Thanks to Mgderf and all the other INGO members that made it possible, Reece received his rifle at Christmas.
The Crickett is a jr. size 22 rifle, single shot. There is no magazine on the Crickett so each round has to be placed in the chamber by hand.
Not too easy for me with my big meaty fingers but Reece had no trouble whatsoever.
He worked his way through the better part of of a brick of 22 today.
I had picked up a scope mount for it and a small tasco scope.
First couple of shots were center but about 3" low. A few clicks
and it was hitting dead on. It hit point of aim all afternoon. Squirrels be warned.
A note from Reece:
other guys showed up and shot about 15 minutes and left.
I don't know if it was the heat today or if they forgot the bug spray as
the mosquitos were a pain but they did not stick around.
I took along the Ruger 22/45 and put a few mags through it as well,
good shooter but kept misfeeding on the 8th rd. every other magazine.
Must need some more break in.
Put a couple of cylinders through the 340PD, always exciting.
Also took the AR and put a few mags through it to get the new red dot on target......... but I digress.........
Here are some action shots...........
Reece with his game face is on, it's either that or hurry up and take the dang picture ...........
Don't shoot till you see the yellow of it's eyes......
Admiring his handywork while changing targets
Fun day with dad.
Any day at the range is great, it's even better with someone you love.
