P228
I carried an M11 (P228) on my last tour in Iraq. That gun really sold me on Sig and away from Glock. I still love my Glock and use it for competition, but I carry a Sig P220 Carry Elite Stainless. The Short Reset Trigger is a great improvement over the trigger in the M11 I carried. The M11 I carried should not be confused with the M11-A1 now available. There are some differences, and American Rifleman did a good story in it in the May 2013 issue. The only thing I would change about my P220 is I should have gotten the full size barrel rather than the carry. Even so, it shoots much tighter groups than my 1911.

In any polling of Sig fans, the P228 will almost always top such a list. The P210 to we older guys will also be there. Of the "newer" guns, the P239 is a favorite of many. The original P220 is a bit large to carry but the P220 Carry is a quality substitute. Nearly all of the Sig offerings of the last 10 years are junk and were rushed to market by Sig management when their gun tech people preached that they didn't know how to make smaller, polymer guns and they weren't ready. The one winner out of them so far is the SP2022.
I got on Sig's band-wagon in the mid 1980's and have been there since (even with the Cohen-era decline.) I carry a P228 (see avatar) most of the year but do sometimes carry a P239 in the summer. I do have to add that I now have a H&K P30 LEM that is challenging for carry time as well. A wonderful gun.
