Tax refund check

I promised the wife "If we got a tax check back" we'll get a new mattress!

The TV is saying if your current mattress is 8 years old it has doubled in weight!! Yeah, really, I don't believe it.

Where is a decent place to get a king size mattress? The paper ALWAYS has mattresses on sale, but I'm leery of the "Bait & Switch" ads, and the "low" prices at "Big Box Stores".

Anybody else replace their mattress recently??

We just bought one from Mattress Firm. Prices were pretty reasonable and they had a wide selection. Also, make sure you check out HH Gregg. They have a smaller selection but will work with you on price. The salesman offered to knock $100 off the price of the one we liked, but I got overruled in favor of the one at Mattress Firm.

I recently bought one from Long's Furniture World - Mattresses, Home & Office Furniture, Indianapolis, IN just south of franklin. They mainly sell Bowles which is what we bought. I liked it the best and paid 1100 OTD cash. It was marked higher but the owners were willing to deal. I did pick it up myself so no delivery fee to worry about. Most comfortable matress I have ever slept on.

We bought a king sized Serta at Menards 2 months ago for under $800.00 out the door and it's beats the heck out the the piece of $2200.00 Spring Air we bought years ago.

I really like my Simmons. $2000 at Mattress Firm in Traders Point, but work program I paid $900 including delivery and setup.

Seriously look into bowles, we layed on so many beds and none were any where near the quality or comfort for us. It is an Indiana company as well.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but we bought a Sleep Number 3 years ago and haven't looked back. It took about 30 days to figure out my number, but I haven't been to the chiropractor in 2.5 years. It's amazing how much better I feel.

My Fiance and I got a king size sleep number bed and it is greaaaaat! We like different matress thickness so it is wonderful for us.

I only buy my mattresses from Goodwill. No reason to get one that needs to be broken in or make your own stains. That is way too much work.
