Yes, this is in the correct section.

I'm looking at an ad in the new edition (Oct 2024) of the American Hunter magazine produced by the NRA.

    Ad reads,
Factory threaded barrel is suppressor ready out of the box
M-LOK and Spartan Precision attachment points integrated into the fore-end of the stock
Scalloped-cut stock designed to make the gun rest perfectly in gun saddles
Feeds from common detachable box magazines
    Timeless bolt-action design

    Taurus Expidition
    Available in .308 Winchester
    Other calibers coming soon

Looks to be bedded in a synthetic stock of some kind.
Not a bad looking rifle, though I don't need another .308 long gun.
I will be watching for the other calibers...

The Taurus of today isn't the Taurus of even 5 years ago; let alone the last 30+, that's for sure.

Supposedly they've turned things around. The new G3 and G4 and the new executive-grade revolvers are pretty legit from many reports.

Verdict still out on this, of course, but it certainly seems promising.

    Ouch!
$984.99 for a Taurus bolt gun?
    Well, that's M.S.R.P. anyway.

Website says it's based on the Remington 700 action.
I wonder if they cloned the trigger issues too?

Somehow I don't see these selling very well.
They don't seem to be offering anything more than the Thompson Center Compass, or the Mossberg Patriot, both of which can, or at least USED to be acquired for $450-$600.

Here's one sorta in the wild listed at $749, probably closer to actual price than MSRP

Oh I like the Taurus name.
I have several of their revolvers and a couple of their (steel) semi's.
I tried a couple of their striker fired options but they just weren't my cup of tea.

My Raging Bull in .454 Casull is one of my favorite handguns.
