Personally, I never got the fascination with this shaped "meat" patty, slathered with sauce. Now that I know what it's actually made of I'm even less inclined to partake. Some of the parts it's made from would, by themselves, be capable of being made into something rather tasty. Turned into sludge and reformed, though.....I'll pass. There's an interesting market driven reason why it's a come and go product, too.

    The McDiarrhea........................no thanks, I'll pass

the whole "meat log" description really drives home the fact that I wont be eating one anytime in the foreseeable future.

Interesting article, and doesn't sway my liking for them. It is a bit of a novelty, and is a nice change of pace in the normal burger world.

I think what some folks do misunderstand about processed meats like this is that many of the meat parts put in are just as edible, and usually more nutritious than the more popular cuts many of us enjoy.

    You all are no fun.....

Go to a chicken or turkey processing operations. They have almost no waste................think turkey burger patties.........

I still eat hot dogs after seeing how they are made. The piles of slurry meat are awesome.

I'm not so worried about the cuts, or parts, of the animal they put in any of their products, it's the chemicals and other mc engineered crap that keeps me away. That and their advertising caused me to never eat there again quite a few years ago. Never had a mcrib, never will!

Oh hell, I eat stuff like that intentionally. Heart, tongue? I cook it myself. A guy saw a beef tongue at Meijer and held it up to show his wife, making fun of it. I saw him do that, and waited for him to put it down. They saw me pick it up and put it in my cart :) They were appalled, but man, I ate it.

My favorite episode of 'All In The Family' was when Archie Bunker came home from work and asked Edith what she was cooking for supper. Edith replied back that she was boiling a cow tongue to make sandwiches. When Archie said he wasn't going to eat anything that came out of a cows mouth, Edith asked him what he wanted for supper. Archie said "just fry me a couple eggs".

I guess it just depends how you look at the situation.

Big difference! You probably didn't inject god knows what into it, hire the dumbest people on the planet to cook it for you, and start an ad campaign pushing a liberal, one world philosophy before eating it.

Kinda like when I saw "SuperSize Me" and then wanted McDonalds. Now I really want a McRib. It's no worse then any other processed food we eat. Any can of soup or frozen dinner has similar stuff. Also fast food burger pattys are pretty sketchy too.

Nah, just boiled it and sliced it up. Dumb people and a liberal one world philosophy make dinner too expensive. I'm only cooking for two here, even though one is a teenage boy.
