One of my buying points is how well a particular arm fits ME.
I can see a need, though.
I had a Redhawk for my truck gun (traveling across the country, making music happen) for a long time. It was OK, but box stock it was never as comfortable as my Model 29s were.
The more I practiced with the Redhawk, the more I felt it needed a tuck or two. Fancy grips did not help much.
It was the grip angle that did not fit me the way I liked.
Old lesson, learned a few times before it stuck.
That said, I am all for an accessory that makes shooting better, more fun, relieves fatigue, encourages practice and aids accuracy for the individual shooter.
I like them with the factory magnas as shown. My favorite practical grip is a Secret Service style boot grip like Eagle makes. The t-grip mimics the hand feel of that and looks super cool.
I love them and have even paid too much for revolvers just because they have them...I have accumulated an embarrassing amount of grip adapters and if I'd had any sense when I was younger I'd bought every one of them I could direct from Tyler for $5.99...
The pachmyer plastic one's ain't too bad and are still affordable...
I love the vintage look of T-grips and they do fill the space up and make revolvers a bit more comfortable to shoot. There's a company on Ebay that makes Tyler reproductions as well.
I have one for my 3” K frame, but don’t really like the feel in my hands. I prefer just the magmas. I got Medium hands. I really want to try a pair of round-butt K frame target/banana stocks, but those are rare and pricey. That’s my favorite on J frames
Factory magnas don't fit my hands well. https://bkgrips.com/ makes a nice plastic reproduction T-grip that won't break the bank, and he's a pleasure to do business with, too. I have a couple on different revolvers that I just couldn't bear to put rubber grips on. They really do work, and fill the hand while retaining the trim profile of the factory wood grips.
I have them on a model 65 and it is knight and day difference in comfort. All my other K frames have aftermarket grips and so does my one N frame. Stock grips just do not fill my hand. Jim.
