    That looks like the one! That lake is very clean. We've always been amazed when we fish there how clear it is. I wonder if it was even there very long.

    If anyone has a timeline for when it was stolen, it would be a great way to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the materials that S&W uses these days.

    I knew a man who thru a mil issue 1911 into the Hudson lake beach in the late 60's.It would have to be rotted by now.I know where exactly.Always wanted to try to find it.

    The slide on those were made out of zinc. Heavy slide blow-back operation like the Hi-Point. Slides were painted black with a plastic frame and steel barrel and internals.
