Springfield 1911A1 grip bushings

Any body know what the going rate is for a gunsmith to repair stripped out grip bushing holes in an alloy framed 1911? I can get over-size bushings and a tap from Brownell's for around $60.
I am the 4th or 5th owner of a Springfield 1911A1 with an alloy frame. All 4 grip bushing/stud holes are stripped out. I discovered this while shooting it and the wrap around Hogue grips came off in my hand along with the bushings. I know the guy I bought it from had no clue that there was a problem with it, he's my son-in-law.

I just read their warranty card, according to it the warranty covers the initial buyer only. Well it looks like I am back to the original plan.

You might try this instead - MidwayUSA - Swenson Grip Bushing Staker 1911 but I think Springfield might honor the warranty anyway I'd call them.
