SOLD I'm still working on thinning the collection, so I'm putting this neat Trapdoor up for sale. It is a Model 1884/1888 made in 1892. This one is interesting because it is unit marked to two different units. The 8th NY and the 13th NY Volunteer Infantries. It also has the experimental "rod bayonet" that was used for a very short time before they realized how ridiculous it was. The rifle is in very good condition with a nice bore. Everything seems to function as it should. I have not fired it, but I have no doubt that it would fire just fine. The stock is in good condition with no cracks or major chips. The cartouches are still visible as well. Overall this is a very cool Trapdoor with a lot of history to it. Price is $750. I'm located in Jeffersonville, but can drive up to 45 minutes to meet. SOLD
