If the bill is passed, my G21 holding over 10 rounds in it's magazine would fall under the bill, need to be registered etc. Here is my question, my father in law carries an XDS, having a mag that holds less than 10 rounds. The bill says it would effect any semi automatic pistol that "could" hold more than 10 rounds.

Would small semi auto's also fall under the proposed bill because they "could" hold more than 10 rounds with an extended mag?

High treason occurs and you are wanting to know if an XDS is going to registered under the ban?

ANY semiauto, not specifically listed by name, that is capable of accepting a magazine over 10 round would be an assault weapon under fienstiens bill.

Personally I'd love to see some company make 11 round magazines for every single semiauto gun ever made between now and the bill coming up for a vote. I'm tired of seeing these b.s. posts.

Her new bill states "Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds." I think the key word is fixed. Nonetheless, this is ridiculous, but your concern is valid. We better hope these government officials do as they should because we voted them into office.

The Brady Bill isn't the the old assault weapons ban.

You could keep it, but you'd have to register it like a machine gun. You couldn't take it across state lines without permission. Under this new AW bill, you couldn't transfer them either.

You would be forced to REGISTER!

And as we know, registration leads to confiscation 100% of the time!

NOW Contact your Reps and demand they stop this garbage!

I wouldn't bet on it, and it would be cold comfort even if true. You think they intend to stop, once we let them start?

As Prometheus said, why are we debating if it is ok from them to rip up the Constitution "just a little bit"?

Any Bill that can pass (or even be brought before the house) likely won't resemble what you are able to read right now. Registration of existing firearms or Confiscation is a liberal pipe dream. However, proposing such radical legislation does give the Democrats a chance to blame Republicans for every shooting death that occurs between now and forever, when they don't get what they want. Regarding your question, I think any proposal regarding capacity will have to be directed at the magazine rather than the firearm itself.

Because we have already let those bastards shred it!

    Exactly !

Energy and time spent trying to interpret the bill Feinstein is planning to INTRODUCE would be better spent writing letters to all our elected officials telling them to oppose EVERY measure.

Angry much? I asked a question that I didn't know the answer too. I used the XDS as an example, it was the first semi auto that holds 10 rounds or less that popped into my head.

I understand what this means, understand how wrong it is etc and have written via the video. I was simply unclear on the terms of the proposed ban.

Calm down man, sorry if I posted this in the incorrect place.

I do wonder if INGO will wipe out their archives to protect those posts whereby people have stated they have X, Y, and Z which are now considered illegal/required-to-be-registered.

    Rhetorical.

Doubt it, if they did though, would be at least 1/4 of the posts I would guess. The guns where purchased at stores, in my case requiring sales records from them would be a more efficient method of finding them than digging through forum posts. Their existence is no secret.

As long as there are 'conservatives' who are willing to shred the Constitution by supporting a government-based (instead of church-based) definition of 'marriage', and who support Prohibition-II as the 'War on Drugs', we have little intellectual integrity to stand on.
