I know, I know a lot of people say “Rare” or unique, but hear me out…
Smith Corona 1903a3, with correct SC High Standard made 4 groove barrel dated 7-43.
Receiver with a “C” stamped serial, making it only 1 of 3,600 overrun duplicate serials, also made in 1943. Does have ‘R’ stamped bolt.
THEN, it was only of the surplus guns send to Taiwan for the Chinese civil war after WWII and re-imported in the 1980s. Most were shot out and rough. This one is NOT. It may have been re-stocked at that time, but can’t verify as SCs routinely didn’t have stock markings like the Remingtons did.
