My Johnson safe arrives this week and Mr. Johnson has added a hole for me to run an ethernet cable into the safe for a NAS back-up harddrive... but I don't have any plenum type cable and I have only found it sold in bulk.

I need between 6 and 12 feet of plenum type Cat 5e cable. Color not important, but grey is perfect.

    Indy North / Hamilton County.

    Thanks! :ingo:

I've got some CAT5 (maybe CAT6) left from when I strung some new wire in our basement. Probably way more than 12 ft. I'll verify what rating it is. How soon do you need it? I'm in Carmel. If it fits the bill, you can just have it.

I'm just outside Carmel, it has to be plenum type cable (rating "CMP") for fire resistance. I don't want a flammable cable running into my fire lined safe. :):

    haha

Yeah, I could see how that would be problematic. :)

Off the top of my head, I just can't remember whether I went with plenum or not. I'll post back if I can find it.

i meant you could have what you needed for the safe for free this is all new in boxes.

Oh ok... I git kinda excited there for a bit... you forgot the word "some".

I did figure out my cable I have at home is CMX rated and PVC so it's somewhat fire resistant, but would rather be safer than sorry.

    PM incoming.
