Slidefire?

I have just recently came down with the slidefire fever. I was wondering if there is anywhere in Indiana I can buy one of these without having to order it?

Also if anybody has used one is it worth it, or will I just be throwing away money??

Throwing away tons of money in ammo!! It can be fun, but costly!! Go for it!

They have them for AR, AK, & I saw one for a SKS last show.

have the prices come down yet? Last time I looked they were pretty strict about their MSRP and noone selling below it. I think it was like $349 or somewhere around there?

Last couple of 1500 shows (I didn't look at the MOST recent) it seemed almost every single table had 3-5 slidefires for sale.

Oh, and after looking it up a few months ago, even IF the patent is valid to prevent knock offs its protection ends in like a year so I expect you will start to see lots of knock offs for a lot cheaper - or the ATF will rule against them being legal...

I also want to get one for my spare Ak. It looks like a lot of fun but I am curious if it is $350 worth of fun. I could almost get another firearm for that price. Has anyone who has purchased one regreted it? I do not see any used for sale so I would assume it is a good buy.

Since we're on the subject... I know everyone's got an opinion, BUT... Does anyone that's used/seen both have an opinion of the Slidefire vs the Bumpski....?

The Bumpski appears to be much nicer. Aluminum construction opposed to polymer, and it is cross compatible for a variety of platforms.
