Just got a Sig P238. It shoots nice so I have no issues. I was looking for replacement recoil springs to have on hand. Seems the only place that carries them is Sig. I saw where they should be replaced every 1000 rounds. Sig sells a set of 3 recoil springs and 3 fire pin (striker) springs. Do both springs need changed at the same time? Has anyone found a different source for the recoil springs? Seems like they would be easier to find. Thanks!

It's always a good idea to have a few extra springs on hand. Magazine springs also.

As for where to get them, I'm not sure who else would have them.

I doubt I'll get to the 1000 round mark with mine anytime soon.

Its fun to shoot. But isn't really a range or target type pistol.

If you want to play it safe, yes. Change them both at the 1000 rnd mark. It surely won't hurt anything.

Anything SIG, I'd go to the factory for a replacement part. I had an ejector on a 1911 I needed to replace, and that's the only thing I've gone outside of factory for... and that's because the factory had none on hand. Otherwise, i would have spent the extra dollar or two to not have to cut a notch in the front ejector post.
