This is a tough one. I have and love both! I cant choose in real life, so if its just for the internets then I guess the CZ. Just for the 18 rnds of 9mm on tap vs the 8 rnds of 45acp offered bt the p220.

While being a fine weapon the P220 is not in the same class as the CZ75 IMHO. The CZ is probably one of the finest combat pistols ever designed. Behind the 1911 it also one of the most copied. The CZ is a well designed and finely crafted pistol. It holds 15 in the mag, can be carried DA/SA or cocked and locked and the triggers aren't to bad. I own 2 early Pre B CZs that I will probably never sell. :twocents:

A better comparison would have been the P226 9mm against the CZ. Sig still gets my vote.

Hard to beat the Sig with any gun in my book. I would love to own the CZ to add to the collection. It would look great next to my Sig.

    What Colt556 said.

As with all great gun vs great gun comparisons, it comes down to how it fits in your hand and how you shoot with it.

But the CZ75 gets my vote against all sigs, maybe except the X5! The match grade sigs have match grade CZ75s to contend with. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and there are over 20 guns that imitate the CZ 75.

I greatly enjoy my Sig 220. I might not have the round count of the CZ, but if I wanted an increased magazine capacity advantage as afforded by the 9mm, I'd simply switch to a 226 or 228 as a carry piece.

I have owned both and they both hold a place in my personal top 10 but since I can only have one at this time I have chosen the CZ75 (Compact, 9mm, two-tone). I shoot the CZ better and I think a high capacity 9mm is more versatile. However I hope to have enough in my "gun fund" to start looking for a used P220 Carry this summer.
