So my father who falls into deals just bought a sig p210 at a garage sale last week because he said "it was a cheap older sig 9mm I thought it would be cheap to shoot." He paid $250 from this older couple at assisted living home garage sale. Last year he bought a colt woodsmen elephant ear grip .22 that looks unfired for $100. Just for my piece if mind and to get it away from him what's a fair price to pay for the sig.

    Holieeee Crap. A p210 for $250!?
Why dont you just have him will it to you, and just ask to borrow it from time to time? Thats the best way around a situation like this imo haha.

Good Lord. If it is a vintage P210 and not one of the new re-issues, and it is in good condition, $2500 might be a fair place to start...but you'll be negotiating up, not down.

It's my father not father in law.

Then keep telling him you love him and start getting articles by Jeff Cooper for him to read...Within a year he will realize a 9mm is best suited for rabbits and such...Be patient...It may take awhile....Then get him a RIA 1911 and say "Look dad..I love ya and I am worried about you having that 9mm paper puncher...Here's what I am going to do...Even though I paid $400 for this .45 I will swap you even for that overbuilt mouse gun....Now I know you ain't got $400 in that gun but I love you and money really shouldn't matter amongst kin.....":):

Let me know how it goes....My Dad's got a Winchester Model 42 I have been after!!!!!!:D

+1 on Bruce, I hope he starts working again as soon as he recovers from his heart attack, I have two P7s up there, Smoke and Prayers Bruce.

The Sig P210 is a fine pistol. Comes in all types of variations, none of which can be had for $250. Your Dad did fine.

    Beautiful pistols, Mike.

Bruce massaged both an X-5 and a P228 for me, I don't have anything with him right now but I really ought to give him a call.

It was never about what's the gun worth we have several 1911s but he like shooting 9mm its cheap low recoil. His favorite gun of choice is a savage 1915 in 380 and in 32acp.

Be sure and tell your Dad he has excellent taste in weapons...Those little Savage's are cute as a button, built like a tank and get dangerously close to being a perfect example of Art Deco design in a firearm....They are classy little pistols...

    Indeed he does!
