    I'll take it one step farther. Places like Chicago, NYC, Washington, D.C., California, etc. are not going to be seeing any of my tourist dollars (yes, I realize this was a business trip) due to their anti-gun attitudes & laws.
    Did you check the link on post #58 above? The ruling by the Illinois Supreme Court was on a case IN Chicago. And you're saying you can still get busted for having an unloaded gun, in a closed compartment in a vehicle? Unless the legislature made some changes to the law in the last session that I don't know about I can live with that ruling travelling through or even stopping in the state. From what I read that is a whole lot better than a lot of states that issue licenses.
