I have bought and sold a few guns, pistols/rifles/shotguns, but most all were FTF transactions.

I know it has to go to an FFL, buyer has that end covered, but what are the basics of long gun, long distance shipping.
Shipping a firearm to Hawaii is something I had honestly never ever thought about.

    My questions are,
What are the legal requirements on my end, besides shipping it to an FFL.
Does a long gun have to be shipped by UPS?
Must it be in a locked case?

I plan to call UPS tomorrow and see what they tell me, just looking for some experience, if anyone has any.

Any information or previous experience would be greatly appreciated!

Last I knew Hawaii was part of the US. Would think it woud be no different then shipping to say Ohio.

Just my opinion YMMV IANAL etc. etc. etc

    Except it's lot's father! :D

    I have shipped pistols, but never a L O N G gun.

So let me try this, do "long guns" have to be UPS shipped or can they go USPS or FedEx?

Just my opinion, support UPS and the fact that it still ships ammo for us, instead of the USPS which regulates farts.
