I think he was speaking to ladies out jogging.
You know sometimes it is not all about you.

+1 for the Sheriff. At some point in time it has to be universally recognized that LE cannot be everywhere at all times and especially since the courts have affirmed that they do not have an obligation to protect then the average citizen must have the means at their disposal and the ultimate responsibility to be able to protect themselves.
Great piece. I've often thought that people might like to be "escorted" in dangerous but beautiful parks and trails by one or more legal weapon carrying civilians sort of like the Guardian Angels that Curtis Slewa (sp?) put together in NYC a generation ago. Titanium Frost and I got paid that ultimate compliment on a ride on Evansville's Greenbelt trail by a lady riding her bike behind us who stated that she felt safe with us ahead of her. How many other people would like to use these spaces but don't feel safe?
Now if SC would just offer reciprocity to the IN LTCH! My wife and I both vacation in Hilton Head every summer, and because we do not own real estate (Time Share does not meet this requirement) we cannot apply for an in state CCW permit.
Next steps for us is the FL permit, which is recognized by SC. The only reason they don't currently recognize the IN LTCH is because we do not have a traning requirement.

Probably isn't due to the pack......

Be careful with this... what I've read in comments on that article is that SC recognizes RESIDENT permits only - non-resident permits (which is what we would have with FL and UT) are NOT recognized. Bill's post in our reciprocity thread backs this up.Now if SC would just offer reciprocity to the IN LTCH! Yep. CO, FL, KS, MI, NH, SC, and WV only recognize resident permits for any of the states they recognize. Of those seven, only KS, SC, and WV do not recognize ours.
Blessings,

We need more sheriffs like him. And the 277 Sheeple probably would not know which end of the tube that round came out of, and don't need to be carrying.+1 to the sheriff
-277 to the sheeple

Any way to get this guy into the whitehouse?
Him and Sheriff Joe from AZ would make one hell of a team.
