Our nephew, Daniel, shows off his dress blues shortly after graduating boot camp!!!!

If you knew this kid, you NEVER would've thought that he'd have survived even Air Force BT... Let alone USMC.

He USED to be a lazy lazy lazy kid. Only graduated HS by the film on his teeth.

Well, that kid is no longer. He is now a Marine! :rockwoot::rockwoot::rockwoot:

If there are any skeptics out there.... This really is proof that miracles happen.

And shame, SHAME on me for doubting him and his ability.

I don't have any idea what the job codes are, but I believe he's headed to do something related to "combat engineering".

Last fall, a fellow INGO'er (fmr Marine) had a contest where he was giving away a Mail Call book by R. Lee Ermy. I was blessed enough to win the book for my nephew. A book from a Marine FOR a Marine.

    Outstanding.

When is he off to SOI? Does he have 10 or 30 days leave?

And shame, SHAME on me for doubting him and his ability.

No shame, your doubts drove him forward. He had something to prove. If he did not, he would not be where he is. You helped him beyond measure.

No doubt, you are proud and should be. He is a Marine.

Marines take boys and shape them into Men.

He will always be a Marine, he will forever get, and deserve respect.

I am proud for you and especially for him.

    God Bless Him,
his fellow Marines and The United States of America!

I do have to admit, the jarheads have prettier uniforms.
But we do have better equipment in the army.
Tell him, keep his head down. We are all proud of him.
    Thank you for your service.

From the "upper" part of the Navy to a "lower" part, congrats!

    I am prior USN.

My step-son is now active duty Army, graduating basic recently and he just headed for his duty station in Ft Carson, CO. Step-son leaves for Afghanistan in June '11.

Like someone wrote above, tell your Marine to keep his head and his butt down and come home safe.

Please tell him that Indiana is proud to have him represent us and thank him for us for giving up his time to stand proud and defend our freedoms. Even if he never see combat he still took the leap to keep his country safe I have one coming out of AIT this month also never though he would amount to a hill of beans. Sometimes they suprise us.:patriot:
