People sure have a short memory. Remember in the 90's when Clinton was in office? The republican tidal wave? Newt Gingritch? Contract with America?

Then what? Nothing. I submit to you that the true power is behind the scenes manipulating both Dems and Reps. When they push their agenda too far and the American people are fed up they back off a little. Here comes an election and an opportunity for everyone to vent their anger.

But we are being scammed, the game is fixed. So we put in a castrated Republican majority now. Does it feel good to really stick it to the liberals? "We sure showed them!"

That's exactly the point. Now everyone will calm down and go back to their routines. And the master puppeteers will go back to working on the ultimate goal. I don't call it "new" world order anymore. Nothing new about it. It is and will eventually be a one world order.

I am afraid it can not be stopped, delayed maybe, but not stopped....

I have to agree. Nothing is going to change like we want. Expect Health Care to get repealed? YEAH RIGHT! I watched CSPAN. Most R's were all for HC. They just wanted minor changes. And people think the R's will be their saviors. Funny.

Whatever happened to "Vote them all out"?

There is a glimmer of hope. Quite a few small government people were elected. Just need to keep at it every 2 years. Can't let up.

How could Healthcare be repealed? Even if repeal passed the House, the Senate is still controlled by the Democrats. Even if it passed the House and the Senate, Obama would veto the bill.

Who in the world ever thought Healthcare was going to be repealed this term?

One benefit already: Cap and Trade is off the table. That alone makes this election a success.

Why would cap and trade be off the table as long as McCain's still in office? He's a big global warmingist.

Does McCain vote in the House? Does his special House voting power count for thirty or forty votes? Oh, he votes in the Senate. Will his vote be enough to override a filibuster in the Senate after his special House vote puts it there?

But you made your point. McCain is a global warming idiot, so therefore, both parties are the same.

A LOT of people thought it would be repealed. It's NOT going to be either if we keep voting for same old, same old.

And if you think Cap and Tax is off the table, think again.

Only people completely ignorant of the Constitution and our political process.

What, did they think we were voting for a new President in this election? It can't be repealed until we have a new President.

Anyone who thought it would be repealed this term is too stupid to vote.

That would make you pretty stupid and ignorant of the Constitution and our political process. You seem to have forgotten the POTUS veto can be overruled.

Theoretically, yes. Yet there was no mathematical possibility of electing enough Republicans to the Senate to override a veto. So my original statement stands.

There WERE a few D's opposed to the HCB. It's not mathematically improbable.

Patton 487, the GOP win in '94 forced a pragmatic Clinton to run for the center (see: welfare reform). There definitly was a change forced on the socialist criminal Clinton. For the post on Libertarians, look at IL. Brady is 12000 votes behind the socialist Quinn. The Libertarian vote was 33,000. Noble, but nothing more. If the Libertarians had voted for Brady, the socialist Quyinn would soon be looking for work. So please explain what the IL Libertarians got from their vote? Like it or not, we a re in a two party country. We need to deal with and work with that. I do agree that Mccain has been around way too long. And in spite of his record, I chose to vote for him over the socialist Obama.

Who in the world ever thought Healthcare was going to be repealed this term?

"I believe that the healthcare bill that was enacted by the current Congress will kill jobs in America, ruin the best healthcare system in the world, and bankrupt our country," Boehner, an Ohio Republican, told a news conference. "That means we have to do everything we can to try to repeal this bill and replace it with common sense reforms to bring down the cost of health care."
