No one is nuts enough to fire nuclear weapons..

He does that, we bring the worlds greatest Shock and Awe fireworks show to his door....

And from the maintenance state of the rest of the Russian stuff, one really has to wonder what state the Russian nuclear weapons are in, or if anyone is really properly trained to arm and use them.

We have been through these proxy wars sooo many times in the Cold War..
Democrats are currently in charge. They’ll probably just pee themselves if Putin used nukes.

Rumors that Russia is going general mobilization. As the tweet that NRA4ever posted indicates.

Tomorrow may be an interesting day. May 9th is Victory Day in Russia, and there is a huge parade of equipment planned in Moscow. Likely going to end up being relics from a museum, prototypes not ready for combat, and nuclear forces.. plus planes.

Its not going well in Ukraine for Russia.. western artillery has made the Ukranians a force to be reckoned with. M777 and a few other things. The range and accuracy well outclasses the Russian/Soviet era stuff.. yes Soviet era.

The Russians are now worried they could be pushed off all the gains they made.

There are rumors of the Russians going into the storage yards of anything that will roll and shoot... some old armour may start showing up in battle on the Russian side.

Its going to get desperate for the Russians here in a bit

    Lots of these are posted.

I don't even know why they bother, they'll be slaughtered like the rest by western equipment being used by Ukrainians. The war is basically over and the only thing this will accomplish is mass bloodshed.

Only way Russia turns this around is if they're able to stop western aid into Ukraine. Even then, their losses so far might have crippled them beyond recovery.

    More men they can't equip.
It's probably apocryphal, but I seem to recall storied of Russians (WW1) or Soviets (WW2) sending masses of unarmed conscripts in behind the ones equipped with rifles with orders to pick up weapons from the dead and keep moving forward...

Russians are really outdoing themselves with their actions...

The sites are known as Temporary Accommodation Points (TAP). The Russians call them fil’tratsiia, or filtration camps. They’re a holdover from World War II, when Stalin was terrified that returning Russian POWs were “infected” by liberal ideas. The camps were set up to “reeducate” the soldiers.

Putin’s motives are apparently far simpler. Russia has a labor shortage in these remote regions due to population decline. The Ukrainians have been put to work — sometimes in dangerous jobs.
