Just a heads up, Rural King has Federal bulk packs for $15.99 in their Sunday flier. Around here that is about as cheap as you can find.

Yes, .22LR (bulk) , but that is a GREAT price for lately.

Took an ad into the Fort Wayne Gander Mountain and got them for $13.99......

Now that is cheap, compared! I can load 100 38spl rounds with my cast bullets for just under $3.00. 5 times that, because there are 500 rounds in a box, would make that $15, so $14 IS A GREAT DEAL!

Is it just in Evansville? I don't think we have a Rural King around here and the closest Gander is 60 miles away! Put gas into it and my 38spl are cheaper!

I might have to swing down to Martinsville and pick up a couple of those. Two summers ago I bought 7 different kinds of 22LR ammo and fired 10-shot groups with them out of 3 different guns. Those Federal loads were the best of the bunch, with groups right around 3/4" at 50 yards from my old Marlin rifle. IIRC, I paid $3.69 per box of 100, at that time, so this would be a savings of just over 3 dollars. You can never have too many 22 rounds, that's for sure.

Up here, we don't get the RK ad until Tuesday. I stopped in last Tuesday when the ad first broke, and they were out. I got a rain check for several boxes.

Stopped in this week, still no ammo.
