I saw Hickok45 shooting his 10-22 today and he had several Rugar factory 25 round mags for it!! My ex got the 10-22 in our divorce so I haven't payed attention for awhile but I remember the aftermarket mags being the only down side to the rifle. Seeing these made me want another 10-22! Anybody have them? :rockwoot:

I bought 2 when midway had them on sale for $5 less than the Butler Creek Steel lips.

I had one fail very badly for me. A full mag wouldn't feed any of the rounds. I couldn't even remove them manually. I had to use my pocket knife to lift the tip of each round and then push it out from the back. After I emptied it I gave it a few whacks and reloaded it. Same issue again.
So I took the whole thing apart and silicone sprayed and reassembled. It's working fine now but it was the worst mag failure I've ever had.

I've never had a single problem with any of my Steel Lips mags. I was pretty disappointed.

We'll see if it was a 1 time fluke or if it happens again...

I personally have two for my 10/22 and have a few hundred rounds apiece on them with no malfunctions; they have single-handedly made my 10/22 fun again. We have sold many dozens of them at the shop and have only had a couple returned with issues (we replaced them; owners reported no further problems).

The failure sounds sucky but hopefully a 1 time deal, I agree and making it seem fun again! I have a bolt action 22 and single action pistol, love shooting them but think I will pick up a 10-22 now and some of these mags. Sounds like a good time! Now to decide which 10 22 to get. :):

I've got 2 of them and plan on buying some more. The only problem I've had is the ammo goes so much faster. I'm wondering if the aftermarket magazine loaders will work with them.

I have a couple - 1 of them gets that failure to feed on a regular basis - i usually end up taking it apart and resetting everything. (BX25)

I have heard several people say you should get one of the older ones, but let's have someone with more knowledge than myself chime in on that.

I bet that would be me.

I own a few of the 10/22's and prefer the ones made before 2008. That is when Ruger switched to the new polymer trigger guards and began phasing out the silver trigger groups. If you are gonna change out parts it will make no difference. I just prefer to leave them stock and love the ones made in the 60's and 70's

I handled a few of the rifles and BX-25 mags today at my LGS, I am going back and forth on getting the 10 22 or GSG 1911. I'm am leaning towards the rifle with a couple of the ruger 25 round mags extra.

I have two and they work 100% after a combined 500 rounds or so.

My BC Steel Lips are starting to have problems, so I'm replacing them anyway. I'll probably do it with more of the Ruger mags.
