Saddest part of life is when a truly great person leaves. I got to see Mays in his final years with the Mets in Shea Stadium. To his last game he never lost it. A roll model if ever there was one.

    RIP Say Hey Kid!!!

I got to see him play at Wrigley Field in 1969 when I was 14 years old. We were sitting in the box seats behind home plate. Seeing him and the other great players that close has lasted with me all these years.

Can’t believe I’m a white racist gun toten conservative as Say Hay was one of my childhood heroes! Could field, hit, base run, do it all! If only he was with the White Sox’s!

Cubs announcers talking about him during game right now. Willie left baseball to serve 2 years in the military, then came back to the game. They say if he had those 2 years in baseball there is no doubt at all he would of surpassed the Ruth.
