Author Vince Flynn dies of cancer at age 47

One of favorite authors and by all accounts, a genuinely good guy.

just finished up his latest book, "last man standing" and one of the characters was diagnosed with Cancer in the book, Wonder if he was trying to let us know

You'd think, with all our supposed scientific advancement, we'd be able to cure cancer by now. Makes you wonder what all the white coats are doing with all the money people raise for "the cure."

I wasn't familiar with this man, but he sounds like a great guy.

Fast paced credible action fiction books that once started cannot be put down until finished. I'll miss his writing. There was supposed to be another out in October, but don't know if he got it finished. I'll miss Mitch Rapp and especially the Dwarf and his Ovtcharkas. RIP Vince!

It was know that he was battling cancer. Last thing I read that mentioned him, several months ago, he was doing well.

With the medical advancements in cancer treatment, it just comes as a surprise when someone so young, with unlimited resources, dies from it. When it's your time, it's your time.
