Lessons from the battlefield...
This is from a webinar series dealing with trauma first aid during a shooting/bombing. There are several lessons to be learned here and the most seasoned medics can still untunnel (ie tunnel vision) with this curriculum. Might even get some credit hours.

Wednesday, March 26, 2014
1:00 PM ET | 12:00 PM CT | 11:00 AM MT | 10:00 AM PT*
*First-responders to civilian Mass-Casualty Events (MCE) often face atypical circumstances that require care to be delivered in threatening, high stress, and unfamiliar settings. This free webinar is designed for those who may provide prehospital care during a "high threat MCE." The webinar will provide a brief overview of the high threat MCE, the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) procedures that have evolved from current military prehospital combat casualty care best practices, and the strategies and guidelines for managing the victims of a civilian MCE while under the duress and dangers of a high threat environment. These include the prehospital emergency use of tourniquets, blood-clotting (hemostatic) gauze agents, airway and respiratory management, and more.
