looking to get the most accuracy out of my remington 597 22lr. I beded the action and rechannled it. that really improved the consistancy of the shot groups... any thoughts on the next step, you know biggest bang for the buck?
The most noticable change to my 597 was the Volquartsen trigger. Wow what a difference. I spent an afternoon with a dremel polishing as many parts as i could and it made a huge difference. I also added a weaver style scope base and used some bedding compound under it too. 597 is a great shooter...Ive had nothing but good luck with mine even with high cap mags.
