Anyone have any expierence with the Meprolight M21? They look solid and if the IDF uses them I think they are worth looking at. As good as they look they just don't seem to be too popular based upon the amount of reviews I can't find. The ones I have found though say they are nothing but excellent.

I'm not a fan of their reticle options at all for a carbine. Much too large of a dot/reticle size.

What would be the purpose for this optic? If you're new to shooting and can get one on the cheap, I think it would serve you well until you figure out what you want. I have both an aimpoint and eotech and have had no problems with either. That said if I was going to get something in this "flavor" I think I'd give the Trijicon SRS a look, but have no experience with it. Reticle is between the 2moa aimpoints and 1moa eotechs, and a huge viewing window. Integrated mount, and runs on AA's.

I would agree I don't really like how they put large MOA reticles in there but it is meant to be a close quarters combat sight so it wouldn't take much away from its intended use. I like how its solid one piece no moving parts and no batteries to worry about at all.

That SRS looks super nice. Coming up with that kind of money for optics is just depressing though. M21 included.
