Record Morel?

This was found by someone near Bloomington. I have never seen or heard of one this big...

That is a big mushroom for sure man. Did you find that, or know who did? That is my neck of the woods.

They are HUGE this year. I found about 30 today at lunch, while not as big as the one above, they were all 6-9 inches tall. Will try to take some pics and post them when I get home.

Don't know if that is a record or not, but my foreman and his son went and they have pictures of several nearing that size. Been real wet in the Columbus area and it seems to have them things going crazy.

Not an official record, but this one is my own personal record - cap alone was 4" tall and 3" wide. The paring knife has a 4" blade.

Collected on my Aunts farm in Elkhart IN, last season.

The "record" is a morel that weighed 52# and was over 3' tall...according to google.
