Howdy Y'all. I am looking to upgrade from my Savage model 12 in .223 to a Target receiver with a custom barrel in .223 AI. I was also looking to get a custom .223 AI for my Encore. Do you guys have any recommendations as far as gunsmiths go? Would it be worth it to buy two blanks from somewhere like Krieger or Shilen and have a gunsmith fit them or do they sell pre-fit rifle barrels? I'm also going to try to get a new stock for the Target receiver. Should it be smithed to fit the gun or is it drop in? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you for your time. -Ben
